Child Health Investment Partnership of Roanoke Valley

CHIP Roanoke Valley Logo

Child Health Investment Partnership (CHIP) of Roanoke Valley is an early childhood home‑visiting program that has supported children and families across the region since 1988. CHIP pairs pregnant mothers and children from birth to kindergarten entry with a Community Health Nurse and Family Case Manager, providing comprehensive services including healthcare coordination, developmental education, mental health support, and kindergarten readiness services.

Through evidence‑based, two‑generation support, CHIP helps families access medical and dental care, manage chronic conditions, strengthen parenting skills, and achieve goals related to education, employment, and self‑sufficiency. Their holistic approach ensures families receive personalized care—whether through prenatal case management, asthma and chronic‑condition support, or early childhood developmental screening.

Committed to ensuring every child enters school healthy and ready to learn, CHIP has served more than 28,000 children and their families and continues to partner closely with caregivers to build stronger, healthier futures throughout the Roanoke Valley.
