The Medical Society of Virginia is a member of the Southern States CME Collaborative, an ACCME Recognized Accreditor.  This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Southern States CME Collaborative (SSCC) through the joint providership of Carilion Clinic's CME Program and Whole Health Consortium at Virginia Tech.  Carilion Clinic's CME Program is accredited by the SSCC to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  Carilion Clinic's CME Program designates this live activity for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Upon completion of this symposium, participants will be able to:

  • Describe core components of Whole Health care models relevant to rural practice.

  • Identify and implement trauma-informed care strategies in clinical settings.

  • Develop actionable interdisciplinary collaboration plans to address social determinants of health. 

Physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, public health professionals, community health workers, policy analysts, health researchers, health educators, medical residents, and community stakeholders.
