My research and clinical work revolve around creating and disseminating treatment for patients with alcohol use disorder centered around how it impacts their health, rather than just their mental health. The goal is whole-patient focused, and patient-driven, allowing patients to engage with the physical health aspects of alcohol use if desired in a way that destigmatizes behaviors and treatment. This work and service delivery also takes place in the context of patients' other mental and physical health issues, most notably comorbid chronic diseases.
