As a research scientist at Virginia Tech, some of my primary responsibilities are to assist researchers (clinical and otherwise) with study design, data preparation, data analysis, and technical writing (for dissemination of results). While it is a supporting role, it ensures that research is statistically rigorous and sufficiently impactful.
