Kiri DeBose Headshot

As a librarian and information specialist, my goal is to connect researchers to the information sources that will enable them to build upon, discover, and share new knowledge. As a part of my work, I have conducted several literature reviews and worked on evidence synthesis teams (e.g. systematic reviews, scoping reviews).  Additionally I have taught several workshops and classes on a variety of topics from idea conception to dissemination of results that aim to help connect researchers with information sources and other library services that help support and advance their research.

While my primary background is in animal and veterinary sciences, in addition to working in the Veterinary Medicine Library, I spent 12 years as the librarian for the College of Natural Resources and Environment, and the past 2 years working with the School of Medicine and Fralin Biomedical Research Institute. These experiences have come together in my role as Director, Health Sciences Libraries and continue to open up more doors and paths to other disciplines that intersect with the health sciences. My passion to utilize my expertise in information science aligns exceedingly well with the Whole Health Consortium, where I can provide assistance, services, and support that promote and advance the work being conducted throughout the health sciences.
