As Director of Preventive Medicine, Community Outreach, and Public Health, my work aligns with the Whole Health Consortium's mission by supporting medical students in addressing public health challenges in rural central Appalachia. I guide students through community-based research projects focused on health equity, social determinants of health, and reducing disparities in underserved populations. By fostering partnerships between local organizations and the academic community, we develop sustainable, culturally relevant solutions that improve health outcomes. I look forward to collaborating with the Consortium to further these goals and promote equitable health systems in rural areas.
