As a physical therapist and educator, my work supports the Whole Health Consortium's mission by promoting equitable, person-centered care for individuals recovering from stroke and other neurological conditions. My current research is in collaboration with the RoSenCo Laboratory at Virginia Tech where I support the development of engineering solutions to improve sensory assessment of the upper extremity after stroke. Additionally, one area of my teaching emphasizes interdisciplinary learning and empathy through exposure to real patient experiences, specifically individuals with a history of brain injury. Together, these efforts aim to improve health outcomes and prepare future clinicians to support holistic well-being in the communities they serve.
