Katalin Parti, PhD
Katalin Parti is Associate Professor of Sociology at Virginia Tech. A Fulbright and Max Planck Scholar, her scholarship spans across cybercrime victimization and offending, with special regard to vulnerable groups such as young people, older individuals, and international students. In the intersection of sociology, criminology and art, she interrogates how communities can be empowered by participatory action research. With a passion in connecting research with pedagogical epistemologies, and community focused research, Dr. Parti conducts research combining quantitative and qualitative methods. She published over 60 scholarly articles, reports, and book chapters and is the editor/author of five books.
