My research and practice resonate with the mission of the Whole Health Consortium by exploring the interplay between life stressors, health, and well-being, particularly in middle-aged and older adults. I focus on three key areas: the micro-level impact of daily stress on health and well-being; the influence of family relationships and support networks on daily life, caregiving and chronic disease management; and the macro-level effects of factors like local healthcare resources and county- and neighborhood-level socio-economic variables on older adults' healthcare access. This work employs a biopsychosocial framework, integrating personal experiences with biomarkers, to elucidate the intricate connections between physical, psychological, and social aspects of health.
