I am currently involved in research with Dr. Jayasimha Rao at Carilion Community Hospital with a focus on developing new tuberculosis diagnostics via a pilot study working with non-tuberculous mycobacteria which are also causing increasing numbers of infections in people particularly in the Southeast US.
