Dr. Wenzel conducts community-engaged research with a focus on rural and health disparate populations.  She specializes in qualitative and applied participatory methods. Her practice-based research addresses a wide range of public health topics including immunizations, sexual and reproductive health, and substance use. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences and the Associate Director of the Center for Public Health Practice and Research.
