My research focuses on developing models to inform medical and health policy decision-making, precisely aligning with the Whole Health Consortium's mission of harnessing a range of expertise to revolutionize systems, research, practices, and policies affecting holistic health and well-being. My prior work on infectious disease control, encompassing HIV, HCV, and COVID, has enabled me to collaborate extensively with both governmental and non-governmental agencies. These collaborations aimed to design and assess health policies in several countries, including Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, Moldova, and Uruguay. Recently, I've had the privilege of working alongside the White House, the Congressional Budget Office, and leaders within NIH to draft the US HCV elimination program. Looking ahead, my future research direction will emphasize the interplay between mental health and physical health comorbidities. I believe that a comprehensive understanding of these intersecting health domains is crucial for devising effective healthcare strategies and policies. Given the Consortium's dedication to pursuing meaningful lives through transdisciplinary, solution-oriented research in equitable health and well-being, I am confident that this focus will further augment the Consortium's objectives.
