Dr. Cindy Yang Yi is a Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and the Institute for Advanced Computing (IAC) at Virginia Tech, whose research focuses on Neuromorphic Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing, and intelligent systems. Her work advances real-time data processing, trustworthy AI, and privacy-preserving computation, with applications that can transform Whole Health by enabling personalized care, wearable sensors, continuous monitoring, and patient-centered decision support. By integrating IoT and edge intelligence with healthcare, Dr. Yi's research aims to empower both patients and providers, fostering more proactive, efficient, and resilient healthcare solutions.
