My MSN focused on Primary Nursing Care in Society, and my PhD focused on epidemiology and health behavior. I taught Community Health Nursing for many years and have published research studies and clinical work with a variety of community based populations. Currently, in addition to part-time work as a consultant to Carilion Clinic, I am Vice Chair of a ground-zero start-up non-profit aiming to provide non-emergency transportation for all adults with demonstrated need in Franklin County VA. Additionally, I am on the advisory board and have helped to secure funding for Trinity Ecumenical Parish's new Aging Gracefully initiative, which closely aligns with the purposes and mission of WHC. I am excited to connect this service work with the consortium.
