As an applied theatre practitioner and social scientist, I facilitate and evaluate performance-based approaches to enhancing science communication, interpersonal connection, and collaboration. My recent work has focused specifically on employing improvisation methods to community-engaged research in pandemic prediction and prevention as an extension of the Virginia Tech-led Center for Community Empowering Pandemic Prediction and Prevention from Atoms to Societies (COMPASS).
