Our project aligns closely with the mission of the Whole Health Consortium by integrating transdisciplinary research, community engagement, and actionable solutions to promote equitable health and well-being. By combining public health, data science, and community health practice, we examine healthcare accessibility in Virginia's New River Valley, addressing both structural determinants and individual experiences. Partnering with the New River Health District, we co-develop protocols, interpret findings collaboratively, and guide dissemination to ensure community relevance. The project emphasizes equity, resilience, and prevention, producing actionable tools including maps, reports, and frameworks that inform policies and interventions to support whole-person and whole-community health during crises.
