"Health is hope". CHIP-RV, a local nonprofit, hooked me with that statement. Access to healthcare, knowledge of the processes, understanding of the resources, ability to navigate the system, and so much more are inequitable in our society. CHIP seeks to break down barriers and build up families, so I joined them in their mission. Having witnessed and lived experience of the pain health inequities can cause, it is my desire to utilize my expertise in the social sciences to drive forward research, practice, and policy that creates a healthy, inclusive community.
