I am a behavioral economist who focuses on decisoon making and resource use. My research interests have focused on the role economic well being has on health outcomes and how we can address barriers to health in rural communities. My research and community interventions have involved partnerships with health sciences and in my previous role i held partal appointments with the UF Cliniical and Translational Sciences Institute as well as as the UF Cancer Center. One note is that our team was awarded the 2022 American Association of Medical Colleges Innovations that Bolster Community Trust in Science Award.  In my current role, i am seeking to continue to elevate the role VCE plays in addressing rural health challenges from access, to late diagnoses, to addressing barriers to health in the vital conditiions. Our statewide presence can help us create community particiaptory projects and interventions to that meet our communities where they are.
